Dr. Esther Fortin always knew she wanted to help people with their health and be a leader in her community concerning a healthy lifestyle. She graduated with her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in May of 2018. During her time at university, she used every opportunity there was to attend additional chiropractic philosophy or technique seminars to expand her knowledge of the profession.
Originally from Quebec, Dr. Fortin had the privilege to work and volunteer in different provinces in Canada during her summers off from school, especially in British Columbia, Alberta and Prince Edward Island. She loves her country and is always looking forward to discovering more of it. As an outgoing person, she loves being in nature and doing any outdoor sports, especially water activities.
Dr. Fortin is passionate about offering chiropractic care to children, allowing them to grow and develop to their best potential. She wants to see a new generation of healthier people ready to make a positive difference in this world. That special interest grew in her during her two years of chiropractic internship working with children and during a mission trip to Haiti hosted by Mission Life International. In Haiti, where the need was great, Dr. Fortin had the privilege to serve hundreds of children through chiropractic care.
After completion of her regular education at chiropractic school, Dr. Fortin had the honour to learn from one of the largest referral-based chiropractic offices worldwide, Inside Out Chiropractic Center in Alberta. What impressed her the most during that experience was the centre's dedication to serving their community with love and integrity as a core value. It is with that same mindset that she desires to serve the community of Prince Edward Island through specific, scientific chiropractic care.
My name is Barbara McInnis, Office Manager at Meadow Chiropractic Clinic. Raised in Prince Edward Island on a farm with six other siblings, I understand hard work. I started my work life in retail, and being curious to check out what was out there, I left PEI to see for myself. I worked in Ontario before moving to Alberta where I entered the Banking Industry. I later moved to California where I gained more experience in the Financial community. After I returned to our beautiful Island to stay, I worked in agriculture which inspired me to operate my own business in the Seed Potato Industry while working full-time in Social Services. I always loved helping people and felt many rewards in watching people become better for themselves and the people they care about. I am blessed to have the privilege to work with Dr. Fortin who cares deeply for all the people that come to her clinic. I love her vision to serve people of all ages. It is a pleasure to observe the progress of so many people as they come and go from Meadow Chiropractic Clinic. Wellness is our Wealth!
My name is Julia Ezeard, and I am a chiropractic assistant at Meadow Chiropractic Clinic.
I am a fourth year student at the University of Prince Edward Island, majoring in kinesiology and pursuing a minor in foods and nutrition. In my spare time, I enjoy running, hiking, and exploring more of our beautiful island!
I began volunteering for Dr. Fortin in October 2020 to see if a career in chiropractic was the right choice for my future. Not long after, I officially joined the team as a chiropractic assistant. Being able to work for and learn from Dr. Fortin has been a huge blessing! I am continually learning new concepts about the practice, and I've been able to put into practice what I have been studying at UPEI. I am passionate about helping people live their life to its fullest potential, and I believe that chiropractic care can help them do just that.
I am very grateful to be a part of this team, and I look forward to seeing you at the clinic!
